So this.. The art study thing I'm involved with, this time was looking at copying a photo with a grid. Pretty basic stuff.
I decided to do it without a grid and also exaggerate some forms, iconify it a bit. I'm happy with the eyes. As usual, anything that I nail down too hard I generally feel it's made pictorially worse by it..
To balance that out, here's something that I like more, that IMO is much less senseless:
