I'm pleased with the test results. Works well. Configuring the right transparency and brightness/contrast settings for the camera is a todo, as well as building a proper clipon fixture to attach the camera to the tablet.

advantages over a real screen tablet: less heat under the hand and the hand and pencil never block the view to the art being worked on and... it's cheap!

Interesting idea. Latency looks surprisingly low. Need to do some post processing to turn your hands into an inobtrusive ghost overlay.

I'll experiment more when the clip-on-swan-neck-monopod arrives. Yeah, maybe some edge detection filter which turns the camera feed into a black and white line-drawing would work.
