@Lachrymose That's a bit of emphasis placed on individual hair strands. People usually suggest to focus on the forms instead. I dunno, think that's worth a shot?

Yes. To be honest I didn't plan the head to well. It was the last thing I worked on, and as you can see from the unfinished ear, I didn't take a lot of time to work on it. So for the hair I just made a quick brush and quickly whipped some strands in. Not ideal but my main focus was shading and blending

tried some gesture studies for the first time as suggested by Mr. Beast.

interesting how I could see a noticeable improvement from number 1 to 3 (biggest one is 1, laying down is 2, and bending over is 3). 2 is probably the worst as a final result, but in terms of time efficiency and comfort I definitely got better with each one. Perhaps it's just me warming up after not drawing anything tho

I think I'm improving bit by bit. Really need to just sit down an do a solid hair study cause I come up with nothing usually.
