Yeah, that's pretty nice actually. The fallout-steps are kinda gimmicky for the most part in practice. Personally, I tend to just twitch the hips into a snappy-aggressive micro rotation without loosing much stance, which forces the rest of the body to follow suit, and augment that in the upper body, so that the shoulder whiplashes the arm forward. whiplash is a good word for that, yeah. Try it. forget about your arm. loose all strength in it and leave it dead hanging, and try to whiplash this dead thing forward with your shoulder, which means you need to work a lot the upper body. Now next, forget about your shoulder, it's dead loose, and try whiplashing your shoulder forward with your hips twitch rotation. That's the real trick, a double whiplash. your hips whiplash your dead shoulder, and your shoulder whiplashes your dead arm. Once you figured this out, you realize what part of your body you actually concentrate on when punching -- least of all your arm -- you start to augment this more precise. And I think that's how you figure out understanding animation of a convincingly powerful punch of any sort.

But one mistake is when it looks like the tiny flying fist drags the body forward. It's key that it's obvious that the body throws the fist.
Remember, it's not a donkey(fist) pulling a cart(body), it's a catapult(body) throwing a stone(fist), so know the right sequence of moves and force translation.
