32, hope that animation is not a nightmare :-X since I think your sprite is too small and polished for comfortable animation. Good luck! :P

Thought I'd try to work at 32x32 just for fun, stuff I want to do with her is a bit of a nod to wonderboy 3 for the sms and I really like the creative problem solving you can see in a lot of the sprites for that as a result of that resolution. You're not wrong though, usually I'd expect something like this to take 3 hours but it took 5 :ouch:

lacrymose, that is some nice perverseness ::) I like the 1st one better, but her knee is too thick, don't you think? :blind:

I like the first one better as well, with the exception of the head.
The second one has a lot of jaggies that i need to clean up.

I really need to work on AA too.
and hair
and cloth
and how to put characters in scenes
and hands....
The list is never ending!

Programmatically generated a 256 colors palette today (modified a NES palette generator I wrote some time ago) containing an index reserved for transparency, 15 shades of uniform gray from black to white and 16 non-linear chroma variations with 15 linear luma levels each:

The purpose of this palette is to serve me as a solid starting point when picking colors for new pixel art pieces and quickly testing ranges with different hue shifts without having to manually redefine all colors each time.

Tested that new palette in a quick alien scout vessel for todays #pixel_dailies:

I've had the inclination to do some cute Rainbow Islands-like stuff lurking in my skull for a while.
Do it. It is great fun and generates happiness.

Neat. I guess that means Taito made Rainbow Islands?
Yes and the tune in Rainbow Islands sounds very similar(different timing though) to "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" from the Wizard Of Oz...

Dennis, pretty cool! :) Although the tin man isn't supposed to smile, and the scarecrow also looks kinda smart
...they are all somewhat happy in this scene, the lion is only scared of copyright infringement lawyers because of the tune thing.

Decided to do something different today. Its a piece of some of my favorite musicians' iconic hair. Inspired by Andy Warhol's Portrait of Seymour H. Knox. Try to guess who they are before looking at the spoiler tag. :)

(from left) Frank Zappa, John Lennon, Jeff Lynne, and Freddie Mercury
Alternatively: Hulk Hogan, Harry Potter, Bob Ross, and Stalin
