Taking a break from characters.

This is kind of a pickup, well sort of. Its part of the core mechanic. Its called a catalyst. Eventually I'll animate it so that it cycles through the four elements (fire, water, earth, wind). For now I just have fire done.

Fire is hard and I clearly have no idea what I'm doing.

some basic notes on horse conformation:

"Because the beauty of the human body is that it hasn't a single muscle which doesn't serve its purpose; that there's not a line wasted; that every detail of it fits one idea, the idea of a man and the life of a man."

Another day, another element.

Day 8.

Any ideas for how to do earth? I would like to do the same kind of swirl thing I've been doing, but dirt and rock obviously don't flow like the water, wind, and fire do. I was thinking about about doing vines growing up over it, but I'm really going more for the dirt/rock side of earth.... the earth part of the game has a "meaninglessness" theme.

That looks really cool, Psylent. I especially like water so far.
I guess you could try having rocks erupt upwards, sort of like the way Edward uses the ground in fullmetal alchemist?

Cyan that horse stuff is really useful! Saved it to my drive so I'll have it when I need it.

Really smooth animation, wolf.

On to my stuff, forgot to post, had a headache yesterday, lack of inspiration today, fell behind a lot.

Rough, but I think I am at a point where I can describe my shapes with fewer strokes, so that's nice.
Still one day late on my value study, but I figured rather do something rather than nothing.

EDIT:

Also unfinished, but this one is for yesterday.

Practicing for when I start doing animations.

Cluster study.

Better background in the distance there. Still requires tweaking.

Forced myself to just make something today, so here's an eye.

I am up to date with my sketches though!

Today I decided I wanted to do colour, so I tried.

I've started out on the right there. This will take multiple days. I'm alright with that.

More cluster study.
