Made some chess pieces. The first two were me trying to mess with the style, but I decided to go more simplistic. Ones I want to improve; definitely the king, maybe the knight and bishop, and probably some tweaking to the queen. Not counting the first two, 3 colors in total. :)

@Cyangmou: Your dedication is pretty inspiring. When I quit the programming game forever I hope I do as many studies as you.
@Pixelkh: I'm a pretty big fan of ink stuff. Keep it up!

PPD tried to get me to post here a long time ago. Told him I basically never drew. The last programming task I completed was aggravating. So I'm taking my first real break in a few months. I'm going through every other frame of a small clip of two videos. Left side of my sketchbook gets the girl. The right side is the guy.

Drawn from (nsfw: nudity) Kareen Dancing to Native American Flute. Used with Kind permission.

Drawn from (nsfw: nudity) STIGMA. Used with Kind permission.
Another reason I don't often post studies online is that I'm pretty crazy and tend to like to get photographer/whoever's permission unless it's implied. (Like art book copies, or one website I know that asked their most popular photographers who allowed it so I didn't have to ask directly.)

In any case, I got permission from the owners of both videos, so I guess I'll post some of my progress here. There's like two more pages of each done today, but no need to post all of it. You get the idea.

Edit: Heh, wow. I think this is the first art I've posted here of any kind? I do do pixel art too, but don't post it for some reason.

I make actual NES games. Thus, I'm the unofficial forum dealer of too much information about the NES
