Cyangmou, the more I see your stuff the more you impress me! You are one heck of an artist man!

Btw, I am trying to get better at drawing as well so can you guys link me to some very good anatomy, posture, etc tutorials? Someone sent me Glen Vilppu's videos but the quality is way too low to clearly see and understand anything. Also, I am aware of Proko but he seems to charge as well for complete tutorials.

(you might enjoy this - I just realized the parallel with your auto-cropped Celes sketch and this,
a message my manager had me mark up on the white board at work last week [I'm the official white board kid] HERP)

@ Ymedron   Well done!

More copy-catting. These chars are so well constructed it's painful.
Redrawing toons is great for analysis. I make lots of little discoveries along the way.
And watching as an advanced cartoonist's illustrations (though horribly distorted, to be honest) emerge from my own pencil is an interesting experience.

If you're looking to watch proko, try his youtube channel. The videos are shorter but they have the full lesson, his paid versions just have more examples and he does feedback. You can gleen his wonderful knowledge fine with just the youtube videos.

This is what I'm working on today:

I'll probably post an update when I get more done, I've just noticed I got his legs the wrong way round on the drawing over so I need to fix that too.

Updated version:

Dude, that's pretty cool! Post that in Animation. It's a fairly ambitious project.
I'll try and get you some feedback, but I think it needs busted out into it's own thread. It easily deserves it. Don't go too far on your lines just yet.

field test without any references of my rib-cage constructing approach - with heads.
Seems to work aside for special cases like "7" where the sideplane isn't good visible
Also not sure wheter if it's better to go with the width like in 8, 9 and 10 (broad ones) or with the other approach from 4,5 and 6

A turntable to help a friend with Nidorina's ear perspective.

It's a bit goofy with the earholes and otherwise starkly undetailed.

So, I was told from the business director from a local pony convention that there is a high change of me getting a vendor table, and I rushed to 'finish' this to help seal the deal.

He likes it a lot, but I am gonna expect to be polishing this up over time as the summer convention comes along as I'll admit to rushing this to make it look 'finished'...

@ Atnas   Hehe, that's Powdered Toast Man, from Ren & Stimpy.
Yeah I like those colors a lot.

Pause video and draw.

I appreciate the suggestion Mathias, but it's just work for a class so I'm not going to take it to it's own thread and work into it when I'm not so invested in it anyway  :)

I did some quick studies in my life drawing class today:

-

I like the 30 seconds sketches more than the slightly longer one, I think find myself losing interest sooner than I should otherwise. I gotta get a tube or something so I stop ruining pages by folding them into my bag.
