I remember the day you re-launched your anatomy annihilation campaign in the Pix Slack server - if you really feel you're stagnating or going backwards, thats a HUGE deal. Try and figure out why. Pistachio and all of us are just casual observers, only your opinion matters.
My biggest thing I notice is your consistency. I'm never that consistent. Definitely a weakness of mine.

New DS1 playthrough? ALWAYS a good time to start a new playthrough.
Personally, I love starting new chars and seeing how far I can get before dying (I once beat Dark Souls 2 without dying a single time - possibly the FUNNEST thing I've ever done in the dark souls world).
Eh . . . the Remaster ($%^*$^%$%$%$%). I was really bothered by the Remaster they released. Could've been SO much more. I admit, I bought a ticket for the hatetrain as soon as it left the station. Still riding it. NEVER GOING TO BUY IT. TAKE THAT, CORPORATIONS!
(super secret text: if uhhh, if you get your new char to a point where you got the armor you like and your char's aesthetic look is in place, gimme a screencap. NO REASON.)

Oh boy . . . highly detailed drawings on cheap paper that tears after erasing a few times. been there done that. it's horrific. Maybe these new-fangled kids with their dang digital paperscapes have a point.
Sounds like you shouldn't render the dragon since you feel that way about it. I recommend taking what you learned and applying it to your next one - as you know, shmancy coloring won't mask a weak composition. If you spend 50 hours rendering, you'll hate yourself by the end. Don't dew it!

Playing too much Terraria at the moment and I was thinkin' bout what cool stuff slimes could do if they had stretchy physics-y abilities. Slimes are kewl!

There is an entire game design somewhere in those slime skills!

My DS1 char is currently in full Havel set, grass crest shield and heavy black knight sword. Not sure I want to continue playing, would have to grind souls at this point to level up for the Anor Londo bosses and grinding is just so boring. DS2 without dying... impressive feat!

Anatomy-annihilation-campaign? Are you referring to complacency-club? Maybe I need more of that again instead of more practice and stressing out about it too much.

Could also be that my theoretical knowledge is too far ahead of what I can practically achieve at the moment, creating a feeling of discomfort and being too judgemental about the output.

Reflecting about it (the feeling of not making progress) some more, I 'should' come to the conclusion that it is probably just mood swings and not something directly related to my practice or a combination of this and the theory/practice mismatch.

Also I think I am a bit burned out after that dragon (on the final stretch of it, I had been listening to the swedish 10 hour loop of "caramelldansen"... the entire 10 hours of it and then some of "they're taking the hobbits to isengard" too).

So I need to slow down and pick up the steady practice again before I really end up hating it.

I want to do more digital work but I also want to train the traditional skill, pencils, pastel chalks, paints, ink... it feels very satisfying to work with "real" materials and to be independent from electricity and equipment that costs an arm and a leg to get started.
