Proportion/framing study.
Most of these are about postage stamp sized (scale on side)

Conclusions:
* drawing the whole set of proportions with one or two lines (which may turn only at right angles) is effective once you overcome the feeling of unnaturalness.
* Using X-subdivision on the picture plane is also a helpful guide to aspect ratio of entire object
* This is definitely big enough to fully plan all major picture characteristics
* The process of picking a suitable frame helps get whole-figure proportion a bit more correct.
* Very uneven proportions (1:6 or worse, eg the candlepines on right) need a lot of checking.
* Needs to be red so that it goes faster.

All frames were drawn (more or less arbitrarily) before the first thumbnail was drawn.

If you insist on being pessimistic about your own abilities, consider also being pessimistic about the accuracy of that pessimistic judgement.

@Wolfenoctis -  :o Thank you! That's brilliant! Turns out I've been drawing and referring from exaggerated 'walks' all this time and it did look more like a run. I love your works and really appreciate you taking the time to crit. Do you know places where I can find good references like what you showed me?

And with that, here's an ACTUAL walk cycle after taking the advice.

Still trying to foreshorten. Also, wild arms appeared! Could've made 'em move less robotically, but later.

@Risenshiney: No problem  :y: If I remember correctly it was on pinterest (I wasn't actively looking for walks, just happen to see it by accident a long time ago). New cycle is already looking better, maybe try making the shoulder movement more subtle.

Used some cheap layer style effects  :D

@Risenshiney
You're welcome. :)
For the animation, try using something like a grid, based on the perspective you're using. Apply to the body as well, like on the hips and shoulder line.
The legs in the latest animation are looking better for sure.
Attempted to do an animation like that as well, messed up the legs a bit

Btw, I know the question was addressed to Wolfenoctis, but google "Eadweard Muybridge", lots of good material.
