My first tries in pixel art [C+C]

on: January 13, 2014, 12:40:40 pm
So I'm new to Pixel Art. These are my first tries
I really need your comments on these

Also i would like to make clear of these points:

1) Should i continue making pixel art?
2) Is dithering really necessary (because i really don't like it, pics with it look messy)
3) Can someone please teach me how to match colours propperly?

Well, right now both images are so big they break the h scroll. Resize them so we can see the whole thing on one page and we can go from there.

Keep making pixel art for the next few weeks. If you still enjoy it then keep doing it, otherwise there are plenty of other ways to make art. Dithering is not necessary and if you use it there is usually a better way to get the effect you want. Some of the common ways are to match opposite colors, like if you are using orange then blue is the opposite. Another way is to just stick to either cold or warm colors. Finally the most risky way is to do what looks good to you a dangerous undertaking and can be scary if you are new (but it is the most fun  :)). Anyways to sum it up just do what feels right to you. You make the best art when you are enjoying yourself that's my feeling. Good luck and keep pixeling!
