I don't really get what's happening in it. And what's with those random coloured flickering pixels?

Hmmm yes i know u can't see it very well but it's ment to be a sort of ivy climbing on his arms, if that's what you mean
i don't know how to show it better

If the vines are white(?) it might help to have the background, well, not white.
There's really not much to comment on in such small pieces, but it looks nice anyway.
And yes, I could see such characters in a game.
