The fat guy with metal shield

i am just a beginner and i am not so good in english too... i cant think what steps next i should do to improve it.

Your punk can be greatly improved in terms of shape, perspective, design, etc... However I'm not interested in art direction here, but more about your rendering. Pixel art is not always about drawing shapes and filling them with colors. You have to think about lights, about daytime, about temperature, about mood, etc... Otherwise, your character will look very very flat, dull, bland, with no volumes, no details.

Quick & dirty lighting test :





Last tip : Don't work on a white canvas - it's a lot harder to figure out the real values.
Prefer a neutral grey, you will have a better sense of what is dark and what is bright.
