[WIP] Arabian Sunset

Hey everybody, I have a personal piece I'm working on and would like some C&C. At this point, I have a cityscape with a balcony over looking the area, 10 colors:



I wanted to play up the focal point of the sun area by having the lines of the buildings lead to there. I hope to include some animation in this when it gets further along which'll bring some more focus to that part.

Anyway I'm totally interested in hearing your thoughts about it and what I can do to improve it.

Make sure the buildings are affected by the light source. There should at least be some rim lighting.

the buildings are so organized they feel a bit awkward. It's a personal opinion, maybe you'd make them a bit messier.

Very good cool/warm shading. I think like someone else said you should go with more disorganized buildings.

Look at stuff from Aladin, not really in straight lines, more placed sparratically.

Developed the buildings a bit more and jumbled them up a bit. Also worked on adding some dithering for some more detail for the buildings.

C&C so far?

I feel like the yellow highlight is way too big for it to be the sun. Or it's supposed to be down already?

Fun fact: Lawrence of Arabia featured a hand-drawn sun because they couldn't shoot the sun itself
