Hello and thank you for reading, my name is Joseph and I've been developing a game by myself for the last year and a half. In terms of programming, most of the systems are done so really the biggest 'need' that the game has at this point is art. I'm an artist and a programmer myself, but producing art by myself is very very time consuming as you probably already know, and I'm really trying to push to have a playable demo done this year. I don't know if I can reach that mark on my own, and could really use some help.

Regrettably, I work on my game as much as I can when I'm not working my day job, and my day job only pays enough that I can keep food in my tummy, a roof over my head, and electricity+internet to my computer, so unfortunately for the time being I do not have money to pay somebody any real substantial amount.
Having said that, once the demo is done I will definitely be trying to launch a kickstarter campaign to generate some funding, and half or more of any funding received would go to you. Also, after the game is done, I would be willing to split the game's profits to a person that stuck through with the project until the finish.

About the game:
The game will fall under the 2D 'metroidvania' genre, featuring platforming elements, fighting game elements, puzzle solving, and of course, action. There will be 2 playable characters, and 2-player simultaneous co-op (full campaign co-op, not like, a mini game or something cheesy like that). Mind you, the systems for these things are already built and prepped, all that's lacking is art. The setting takes place in a pseudo-victorian/medieval era on a planet similar to earth, yet, without actually being earth.

About me:
I've been an artist my whole life and have had a strong passion for video games. I have an undying appreciation for many classics including Super Metroid, Castlevania (all of them pre PS3), Final Fantasy (pre FF7), Final Fantasy Tactics (The first one on PSX), Secret of Mana, Street Fighter, Secret of Evermore, Pokemon, Mega Man, Tactics Ogre, Chrono Trigger, Sonic (Sega Genesis era), and Demon's Crest. I've loved the art and design in video games for as long as I can remember and have always wanted to make one of my own. I've always had an artistic talent, and up until about 2 years ago felt that if I met the right programmer, the two of us could make an awesome game. Well, finding a programmer never happened, so I stopped waiting for that to happen and learned to program.  I also love my share of anime, and comic books, they also influence my game design in some ways.

Who I'm looking for:
Anybody interested in making SNES style sprites/pixel art. Preferably somebody that has had some experience with animation. Somebody that might share some of my passion for video games. I'm not discriminate against race, gender, age, religion, nationality, or anything else like that.

If you've read this far, but you aren't sure, maybe you'd like more information, please feel free to email me at You can also reach me on Windows Live Messenger at that address, or you can skype me (username TheBroodian). If you'd like to get to know me, I'm always interested in chatting with someone new, and we can see how things go from there. Again, thank you for your time.
