


I did this without any kind of reference so that might explain some disproportions here and there
Reference is a good tool.
Don't be afraid to use it or feel like it is cheating.
There are different ways to use ref.
Personally I draw without reference 95% of the time.
I used none for this.
If I reach a point that I feel confused, I'll look up some ref and study the construction.
Then I'll close it down and continue drawing.
However drawing directly from reference, such as life drawing, is a good exercise.
I'm really a failure at drawing anything that requires anatomy knowledge or 3D awareness
Relax.
Anatomy takes a while to learn.
Go to some free model sessions.
Look up images on the internet.
Use yourself in a mirror.
Just practice and you'll get better.
It's a decent jump from your last character.
Try some new things and improve this image.
