The bg really gives me a good VG feel. Nice work.

Me like. Specially the highlights on the big guy, and the shading/runes/transparency thing on his back.

The little guy kinda becomes invisible against the sand though, i only noticed him after a while. And i strongly dislike the black skirt thing at the bottom (is it a fire or a tutu?).
Also, would be nice to see where the light that's affecting both the dudes is coming from, like in the cloud shading, and use it consistently on the piramid as well, that's kinda not right.
Indicating some sort of perspective through the ground shading would help as well. The piramid looks small, and a few meters away from the guys, due to the uniform ground texture (but past the piramid, the perspective effect looks better, making it look like a desert).

Lol -- please make it a tutu?

As for me, the little guy is my favorite part and I noticed him right away.

I am not a big fan of that dithering on the sand -- looks more like sandpaper. IMO sand is s'posed to look swirly =)

One more thought: unless that little guy knows something I don't, his pose is oddly relaxed for someone who just had a demon spring from the ground in front of him (unless I misunderstand and the demon is springing from his shadow).

You'd have a really strong composition if you nudged the wee person down and moved the horizon/pyramid up a little, giving the image a strong triangular read.

hmm I liked the version with the illuminati pryamid.. always a nice appearance :P
I think it could use some cleaning up, not too much though that it would take away from the sketchy look.. I think I prefered the original

I like the new one too, nice colours, interesting design, but Im looking at it.. and I think it might make a cooler piece done in photoshop or something nice and big, no offense or anything
