I suggest you start giving a context to your werewolf, ie a background, a setting. It would contribute a lot to this piece.

oooh, immediate improvement! Great atmosphere. The pixelling kinda rough but my bit of critique at this point is that you should look at some arm photos to see how the upper arm connects to the lower arm more clearly, also the wrist. You have problems where the bits connect, which is best amended by real life study.

Yeah I don't know what went wrong with the shading there.
Must've been those tufts of fur there that kinda warped the shading in my head or something.

Not wanting crazy muscles btw. Toned the definition down a bit already (because there's fur on top of all that anyway) because it's not quite male.
I blame the breasts. They don't read as such and I'm not sure how to fix that.
Might be the hunched over pose, an anatomy fail on my part or a shading failure or a combination of all 3.

Also the hand doesn't read quite well either which I'm not sure how to fix but the forearm is supposed to be elongated.
That's a werewolf thing so they can walk on all fours without looking silly I suppose. At least the werewolf walkcycle of diablo 2 suggests that.

I have an issue with the contrast, and as Helm pointed out, the shape of the arm.
Here's an edit, with the original to the left:

I think you have to define the shoulder more, as well as adding some thickness to the back of the arm. The hand/paw is lost in the tail, and the tail is lost in the background, amongst other things.
Can't wait for an update!

I actually like the new contrast. It makes it say night a whole lot more.

Here's an edit where I tried to address the femininity of your beautiful werewolf. I really liked how you did her breasts in the first picture, and I think you should hale back to that. I also think you could use her muscles to accentuate her physiology instead of diminish it just by building up different muscles. My anatomy got kinda screwy, but I hope that it gives you some ideas!



All in all I think this is wonderful, and I love the concept.

I should've stepped in on this earlier, but I can't help but feel like the arms communicate a much more relaxed message than the forward lean and bent legs do.

Of course, you may have been going for a more reserved but still confident stance, but it was easier to edit the arms due to the legs already being grounded in the scene.

I am no expert on posing, to take my advice with a grain of salt.  I'm sure somebody will tell me I'm wrong.
