[WIP] Werewolf

on: October 24, 2011, 06:01:49 am
Any tips on how I could make my werewolf look more realistic/scary? Also some features are missing (like claws) as I'm still playing around with the pose.

giving it a bit of texture wouldnt hurt, losing the shirt would be a good idea
it looks a bit like its leaning forward

and the readability isnt the greatest, tho thats probably the fact that it is dark and the backdrop is so bright...

edit to point you in a direction

tho my back fur is kinda eh...

I kinda want the shirt to stay so I've done it down a little. Just a few tweaks:

A few pointers, which I will elaborate on when I edit this post:

-Inconsistent lightsource. I think things would appear clearly if it were overhead.

-Anatomy could be tweaked. Arms too low?

-I agree with CMC, the shirt's getting in the way. Some areas don't make much sense, but I suppose it's supposed to seem torn. Even then, it doesn't look much like a shirt and could be gotten rid of.

-Some banding in various places.

-The silhouette of the character alone, without looking at inner details, doesn't make itself very clear.

if he wants the shirt, then keep the shirt. make it work. :P
I think as you improve the whole thing, the shirt will naturally look better on him.

Tried making the lighting more over head, not sure if I did good though.
Raised his arms a little too and made the shirt more rugged.

Though I still have the problem of the overall thing not being very clear, just can't seem to change that. :/
