Help on quoting pixel graphics

on: May 19, 2006, 05:40:52 pm
Hi all,

My company, Indusblue, www.indusblue.com in Toronto Canada makes flash websites and games for our clients using a variety of art styles, 2D pixels, vectors, photography and 3D. So far we haven't really created anything that needs major pixel work as most of the stuff has been done in house. However, we are now looking for some help with some more sophisticated pixel work and I need to know how best to quote on character animation. For example what are typical ranges of hourly rates, or do most folks prefer to work with a flat fee. I would really like to explore the possiblity of using the talent on this forum but I'd like a general idea of how much it would cost so I can see if it will fit within my budget.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dayton.

strange how nobody spoke up in this thread yet.....
most people prefer to negotiate a single-time payment based on the number and size of the images required
A mistake is a mistake.
The same mistake twice is a bad habit.
The same mistake three or more times is a motif.
