I think it looks very good, I'd tone down the skin a little bit. He looks like he belongs in an adventure game though! :crazy:

One little thing, I know it's stylized, but the way he's standing, he would be falling backwards in an instant. Try moving the legs and feet back a bit to center his gravity a bit.

Quick and dirty edit-

That makes it a lot easier to see how awkward his pose was. Actually, now the old one looks like he's leaning against a wall.

All the poses look good besides the one facing straight toward us, I think. It looks like he's going to fall over again in that one, and he's holding onto a bar or something to keep that from happening. ;)
I like his outfit more now, though; he reminds me much less of Bernard from Day of the Tentacle, but he still has that cool super-nerd vibe going on. =D

As mentioned, it seems like your inspiration comes from Day Of The Tentacle, great adventure game btw :)
A tip: Look at the animations in that game for tips on how to get your character well animated with few frames.

i would like to thank you guys for your help and critism
@SolarStrings:
i will definatly do this, i have actually never played DOTT but bernard is the inspiration for my character

@jams0988: i am not so sure how to make my character look as though he is not falling backwards and still keep with the style. i have only been doing pixel art for a few years now and i am still learning lots.

I find that palette sort of offensive as someone whose skin isn't "skin" colored according to it. I know that's kinda lame, but seriously. Think about how many black or non-white characters there are in video games.
