[WIP] Knight Character on RPGish platformer

on: July 20, 2011, 05:49:40 pm
This is my 1st post, I just had joined

This is my second try at pixels. I'm working on a little game that makes me awake thinking about it over the last weeks... And I decided to start with the chars, then tileset, set up the engine and stuff and last but not least backgrounds. Will be a hell lot of work, but one step at time.

Do anyone could give me some advice in whats wrong with my sprites? I think I missed some shading and see the chest as pretty messy, couldn't put a lot of info on it. I see the helmet as "so-so" and not "amazing" like I would like to. I had a problem thinking how to do it since the number of px was even...so I made these sprites using a 15x20px or 13x20px, can't remember now exactly as a solution.

I used the small Mario (no mushroom...ya all know) from Super Mario World for Snes as a base for my outline, I think it's almost the size i need, something around 20 to 24 pixels. I still need to adjust pretty many things, but I'm quite lost at where to start.

EDIT: I hate imageshck and Imgplace... got problems on them, put on tinyPic, should be fine.
