64x64 Hulk avatr WIP (eventual animation)

Hi guys, this is what I have so far. I'm having major problems with color selection, also I eventually want to animate it to a simple breathing. I would like to use up to 16 colours, but as smooooooth as possible. havne't figured out how i want his hands and feet yet haha
Whipped this up in like 15 minutes or so.

Did some adjustments still fooling around trying to find the colours...it turns out the palette went more cartoony this time  :huh:

Biggest issue for me is where's your light source cming from? I hink you need to work that out before you go much further. Also his abs on (our) left side droop, according to the perspective of the shoulders they should either stay on the same plane or even go up afew pixels. Not down as they do now.

Ok did a biggish update i think.
I want the light source coming from the front. I' not sure if I captured that very well. I also i find it a bit.....monochrome right now. Still can't get an ideal ramp  >:(

The one problem I see that bothers me is his arms.  I know he is hulk but his arm is huge compared to his body.  There is so much muscle it looks like you took vines and braided them together.  What im trying to get at is that you should tone the arms down.

Unless ofcourse you are going for caricature then your all fine.

Yeah the arms are like that deliberately. That's my stylistic approach :crazy:
I'll take another crack at it when i got the time though. The colours are sooo...green haha  :yell:

I'm going to be a bit harsh here.
Please don't use excuses like "It's Deliberate or it's my stylistic approach" when you have problems applying some anatomy corrections even with the exaggerated muscles. The sprite is also suffering from pillow shading.

I did some edit and you might find this a bit helpful. There are still issues, but it's more readable now

Thank your for the edit. Much appreciated. I can't work on it right now, cuz i won't have access to my pc this weekend. I love how you captured the face especially that's amazing. Monday i would update taking your edit into major consideration

Although i really wasn't making excuses, that will be silly of me, i really did want the exagerrated arms but I think that's the least of the problems I was having. I must admit, yours looks way better by a WIDE margin:)

OK started from scratch with the advice and colours form the critique. Thanks again for all the help. Here's a speedy rough of where I'm currently at. Suffering major problems with his left arm perspective. Its looks....well weird.

The first one, looked like he had put grass all over himself, the second one looked like he had swum through a swamp.
