Started this perspective mind fuck today. Figuring it'd be better to learn more about these perspective things if i want to keep getting better with art.

What's going on with his left arm? Where's the hand?

It looks an awful lot like he's wearing a right shoe on his left leg.  A hatless mario is also a bit of a hard sell for me.  But other than those small things I think it's looking quite solid so far.

Alot of stuff needs to get fixed. perspective of background is completely wrong I would trash that, draw in perspective lines (google if u dont know how) and post again. Then I think people can help u fix mario before moving any further. Have u thought about what he is kicking? Or is he doing a john cleese silly walk?

You need to grab a book on perspective; I suggest Perspective! For Comic Book Artists.

Another point to add (pardon pun), perspective drawing isn't limited to a single point horizon. Multiple point algorithms are more realistic and should be pondered while you're working with a fixed point of origin.

Dick Termes is a personal favorite local artist of mine, and he does six point perspective art on spheres. This is one example of perspective drawing taken to the extreme. I'm sharing this so that you don't confine yourself to the bounds of single-point perspective.
