Zombie Mountain

Hiya guys wanted to post this and get your critique. It is the title pic for a game im making, i thinks its pretty good but could use alot of work so coment away!


ps: this is my first post yay me. i hope to become an avid member of this community - thx guys :P

How is it a tile? Use more colors for the sky and ground unless you want that effect. Work more on the individual objects and then piece them together so know what your doing without the distraction of everything else.

not tile, Title, im making a 2d zombie game thats zoomed in 2x. any way what do you mean about changing up the sky and ground? like detail it? if so with what?

You can see lines in between the different shades in the sky and ground, you need to make it more blended.

Nice. The guys legs look to short compared to the rest of him. I guess hes standing in the corpses instead of on them but it looks a little strange. Maybe take the outline off the blood, it doesn't look like it's actually on the ground but a weird jellyfish floating above. The gray on the shirt looks like it should be shadow but its probably dirt, maybe give him a consistent shadow then put grime on him.

more shades
character is taller
less jelly fish :D
alittle more detail

That heap of zombie-things could probably loose the black lines. And less vibrant colors too!
Sketch this out a few times and look at a lot of of references.

Did a quick edit, softened those black lines with a dark brown, changed the pose a little, scribbled on the moon and clouds.

oh yea i see what your saying, dulling it out makes it so much more realistic
ty for the help i like what you did with the character and moon.

but how did you dull the whole thing out like that? a program im guessing(i just use paint :D)

alright heres a new update - looks so much better than when i started :P

dulled the colors down a bit and fixed a few things thanks to everyone that helped



still kept it alittle colorfull cause it is a kinda light hearted game, im pretty happy with it :D
