Lazy Brain pixel art

on: January 22, 2011, 09:26:38 am
Hi all! I'm new to the site, so I thought I'd post up some of the pixel art done for the 5 existing Lazy Brain games. I sort of just cherry picked the better images, there aren't too many backgrounds of interest :P These images span 5 different games, although I used the same 16 colors and the same resolution (256x240) for all of the Lazy Brain games. Each game is done in a matter of days, so making sprites that are quick and servicable has been the main priority. Let me know what you think and enjoy!

i really like most of these, ur sense of style is awesome.
however i think that a few of these are overly rushed, mainly the tree in about the 3/4th game down. mabe tone down the colorson the trunk and shade it for a more cylindrical shape. otherwise very good keep it up. :y:
In my opinion ;D

Yeah, the tree could use a bit more shape, although it's a constantly moving background image, so luckily it isn't too noticeable in-game. Here's a link to the game if you're interested in seeing how it all fits together.

Funny you should ask that, I just had someone else ask me that same question today :P All the Lazy Brain games are created with Game Maker (v7) you can download the trial version here if you're interested...

Factorium is definatly one of the stronger entries in the Lazy Brain series, it was featured on indiegames.com a while ago...
