Tips needed on [WIP] tiles.

Hi,

I never did work with tiles before , but I am here to learn.
I am a noob pixel-artist who is still improving, I was trying to draw gallows and here is where Ive gotten so far:

You're doing fine ..
Here's some things that i feel you can improve: the ring circle area of the wood (dont know the word..) looks a bit out of perspective, i think part of this is caused by the Rings..
You can improve the fork rope, looks really off in scene..

There are little variations which make the visual look more interesting, you dont need to do all those things at all, but, you have to be careful with too much information (tiles) with the same color (pallete).

These things it's only observations to considere it, you dont need to go crazy with it, is a natural way in evolution.

Im not entirely clear on what you really wanted me to change, but i figured if I give the wood a more definite shape, it would certainly improve things :
