Need help with walk cycle.

I'm really new to pixel art and this is my first attempt to make a very simple walk cycle.

I tried many times but still can't make a walk cycle that looks OK.
Is it impossible to make a walk cycle without add a new color to this one?
I really need your help.

Hello . I just tried something and i think this way the animation can works.

Do not play the animation with two frames at a framerate bigger of 8fps approx.

Take a look and i hope you like it. If you have only two drawings to explain an action, study the action  and think about the two more important drawings
that the action needs to be explained. Think on a very brief synopsis of a film with two words.
