Seems a bit off-center somehow.
It's a real jungle though, no doubt about that.
Photocopier: the fact that arne can also code so well

Those small spots of light on the floor and on the statue make it hard to read. Since dropping these completely would be a shame I would suggest to follow the given form better and make 1 or 2 big spots instead of that small sprinkly stuff. (I know they are supposed to be small spots falling through a thick foliage). Right now my eye can't decide if the bright pixels are actual colours of some object there or if it's light.

Otherwise very nice colours and the real jungle effect comes when watched in 4x resolution.

Looks great :y: Nice idea.

I think the left side of the statue could use a tree or two, that side looks a bit empty to me.

The rays of light look great, though the angle should probably be more like 75 deg instead of 45.

@ ElementZero: good call, I tried to forge the spots into large metaclusters in this update. Still too sprinkly?

@EvilEye: added a light tree to break up that big lightgreen area. I'll try some shafts of light in the next update, at a steeper angle.

Very nice looking so far.

The red burns against the lighter greens tho, especially the bird. And the brown aa pixels on the dark tree on the right do not work either imo.
Also I think you could push the valuerange a bit. Atm it is pretty much on the dark side. I would try to make the light that comes through more vibrant and brighter.
There are no ugly colours, only ugly combinations of colours.

Very beautiful. The problem is that the small palette you're using means the far tree abstractions use the same greens as the forward stuff. This flattens the field. You need cooler colors for the far edge of the forest, create some distance and space between your layers. The best solution for this is just more colors, sadly.

One thing: I think you should definitely keep the shafts of light, they look great and add a lot to the piece.

I agree with Helm.
