Character Graphix WIP [game]

on: November 14, 2010, 05:15:44 pm
Hello,
I was wondering if I could get some C&C
on this sprite I've been working on.
Its still a wip, and I'm not totally sold on the idea yet,
But its what I've done so far and have to work with.

As you can tell, its pretty simple, and I would like to keep it that way.
But I don't want it too look poorly done either.

NOTE: The hair is a huge wip still.
I dont have a "nude" template yet, but there will be three character sizes in total.

Heres some other random stuff I was working on a few weeks ago.
A game moc up

And all the character animations

Still planning on using these soon.

Don't post JPEG's it screws with the pixels. Post in PNG or GIF. It also might help if you posted the character against a more neutral background.

Lots of stuff here that I can't tell exactly what it is.

Is that red hair or a helmet?

What's he holding? A sword? A gun? A chainsaw?

Why are there stray red pixels behind his back?

I can't tell where his hand is either.

There are two grey spots on his chest that look like a bra.

Where are his feet?

There is no point in putting almost matching colors together especially at such a small resolution, but you do this in many places, especially on the skin. The viewer can't really see the contrast between the two so the result is a flat image.
