City perspective WIP

on: October 05, 2010, 12:28:42 pm
Had a really boring day at work today, started to draw a bit during lunchtime.

Afternoon light in a park between the skycrapers (its a work in progress, so feel free to comment or suggest)

(and its not ment to be isometric or anything)

Dont know if I can bend the perspective so much that I could put a city background far away at the top. What do you think?
Im pretty happy with the palette so far, small flaws will be fixed when ive got a good idea of how it will be :)

UPDATE:

Started to add more details on the trees

Tried a few different things, but the style goes with the picture imo.

I think if the edges of those buildings meet a vanishing point (even one way off the plane of the picture) then the perspective could work. It seems, however, that at the moment they are parallel.  So, it looks wonky.

For illustration:

If it were mine, i would take the edge of the left building and set it to the same angle as the edge of my blue triangle.

Does that make sense?

EDIT:
So basically like this:

Man cannot remake himself without suffering for he is both the marble and the sculptor.
