My only crit is that the reflection of the moonlight n the water is too strong. Heh, but that was probably the only colour you had to do it, right?

It's ace, I wouldn't say it's your first C64 piece!

Cool generally, the foliage in the trees really doesn't fly, in my opinion. Go in there and draw the individual leaves and branches... I know, tedious, but it would make this picture so much better. Do that, ease up on the reflection, cast more dark shadows behind the trees, maybe add a character hiding in the shadows, something going on besides the scenery, and this will be tops.

Really nice stuff. It could use some more colours and tinting in spaces and the greys could be utilized a bit better like you did in the foreground on the brown stones. The greys are the MAJIK og the c64 palette.
There are no ugly colours, only ugly combinations of colours.

Looks good.
In addition to what has already been said, I'd say that the lighting on the dock looks like an extention of the water's reflection. That gives it a very odd look. Also, are those supposed to be city lights on the far shore? If so I'd say they need some more defenition to be able to tell that they are city lights, because right now they just look like dots. The grass looks rather odd as well with all that black between the blades.
Aside from that it is really good. aAs Filax said, I wouldn't be able to tell that this was your 1st c64 pic.

also on the stars, less horisontal aa-beaming because they seem to be slow-moving lasers.
