What's the best way to host your own art site?

I really wanted to host my own website, and I think that blogspot is best I need full webpage editing, and that's what it offers but I think that maybe hosting it myself could maybe be an advantage, but I don't have a webhost.

Blogspot until you have your own host though ideally you want your own site with a fully custom design.  However a great artist named Xia uses blogspot and he seems to like it.

http://idrawgirls.blogspot.com/ and doesn't seem to be changing to his own host any time soon.

Blogspot seems to meet my needs, but i still can't choose. I think I will make one sometime later.

I would say to get a free webhost, but then you have to get someone to code you a site or do it yourself.
This gives full customization and neat features like forums and image pop-ups.

@ Kidfrommars: Now that's a nice collection of free hosting sites you shared there. Thanks. I was looking around and studying my options from those free hosting places, but in the end I decided to use my blogspot account. After all, I'm more free in terms and conditions morally than those other places. But that's just my opinion.

I use zymic.com.  It's a little difficult to set up, but once you've got the site up and running it's a breeze.  The only problem I have with it is there are only a few filetypes you can upload.  You can request more, but it takes a while for the requests to be reviewed.

A free host gives you more control and more options.  You can embed a blog into your website that you made with Wordpress or Blogger (formerly Blogspot) and have other pages, too.
