Fighter Sprite [WIP]

on: August 05, 2010, 02:29:40 am

What I basically did was drawing it on Photoshop Cs3 and rendered it as pixel art afterward.
Now I have to shade it and edit the shape a little bit.

there are a few issues with his six-pack/chest. unless he's wearing the world's tightest tanktop, his muscles wouldn't look that defined through it. also, the middle of his six pack doesn't meet up with his belt, making it look like one of the two is cock-eyed.

His head also needs to be bigger, he looks a bit comically muscley atm.

Other than that, you've picked some nice colours and your hands are lovely!

An edit:

*Example of reducing visible muscle definition to a semi-plausible level; very needed as vinegarstroke mentioned.
* some muscle shading was a bit weird [excessively balloonish]
* I seem to have scribbled a flesh-toned line over the pants and hand. Accident -- ignore it.

I must agree, your grasp of hands is good :) Colors actually remind me of some of Tsugumo's old stuff, and also kind of of pokemon (Really. I guess with that small head, he just looks too much like a critter :D)
If you insist on being pessimistic about your own abilities, consider also being pessimistic about the accuracy of that pessimistic judgement.
