[C+C] Some sort of a monster

on: January 25, 2015, 03:58:28 pm
Hey :)
It's been a while since last time I drew something ^^"
So I have no idea what it is, I took a picture a friend showed me as the reference xD And I wanted to have some opinions and thoughts about it:

Well I for one think its great! Brimming with character, nice shapes good colour set. Looks kinda like those fish with a light attached to their head. My only small crit would be the top teeth could maybe be a tad more beige and have another one on the right side as it looks like he only has 4 teeth. but if it was against a dark background I guess you could see it. anyways big props man !

Thank you very much! It really good to hear that as I'm only a begginer  :)
Anyways, here's the new one(I couldn't really find a good teeth color but this one doesn't look so bad):

No one has anything to say? :/

Its a nice unique piece. I like the colours that you have applied to it and the creativity. I am truly inspired :)

only thing i can think of is that the head, being a lot brighter, feels a bit detached from the body

other than that... i love it

And it's lighter because of its lightbulb thingy on its head, it emits light.

since it emits yellow light i'd expect some greenish tints on his head as well.
you could give the teeth a more brown to yellow shade to make it more vicious or disgusting too if thats your intention

It does make some sense but as I said it was from a reference, and there were no green tints at all...
But thanks for the critique!
