Afro-fighter WIP

on: March 28, 2006, 03:51:43 am
Well, I'm working on a new avatar that hopefully will come out well. I just wanted to know if my anatomy was straight first before I moved on.  C+C are well appreciated.

Some Afro, Kung fu guy inspired by me watching Undercover Brother a few nights ago. Can ya dig it?

Funky.
(note: the definition as in deeply satisfying, not the smelly one.)

The left arm and something about the abdomen looks off. The belt does not seem to be curving about his waist correctly.
Somebody better at anatomy please point this in the right...er direction. ::)

The left pant sleeve(?) should comform with the right one. Either pretend there's no wind, or there is wind blowing leftwards.
Oh, and the left hand should be reshaped. Again, it just looks off... and I really am not that great in anatomy to be saying anything else.

The coloring looks really well, but the pants look like they have to many folds for that posture. Is that a sytlistic aspect of the pants or just your bad? :P

In the colored version there's too much contrast between the darkest skin tone and the rest of the piece.  I'd recommend darkening the second-darkest skin tone to make everything come together a little better.

I like the pants, actually <3
