So many of these are awesome, haven't finished looking through them yet.

Terley's is so great though. Like an awkwardly comprehensive acid trip with love.

It feels weird not being in on the Secret Santa for the first time D:

This has got to be an elaborate April Fool's joke. There's no way it could be this ridiculous. I mean, this whole time I thought "Maybe the artists are just horrible." Blanka with two left feet ended that thought process though. Either the artists are fucking blind or this is a wonderfully prepared and executed joke.

Yeah, after I suggested the sword's shadow hitting both thighs, I noticed it might not reach as far as his left thigh. Something has to be done to it though, an extension of the current shadow with a lighter shade and/or a shadow being cast from his vest could possibly do it.

In the right (viewer's left) arm, the outline his broken with the midtone of the arm. I'd personally use the next darkest shade to complete the outline, but it'll still be light enough to give the look of a rounded line.

The next is the left (viewer's right) arm, the shadow on the inside of the elbow looks too dark. If he's going to hold a shield, I'd suggest darken the entire arm as though the shield was casting a shadow, otherwise that shadow should be shallowed by lighting it up by a shade and maybe give it a smoother transition to the midtones of the forearm and upper arm.

And then there's the left (viewer's right) thigh, which looks flat compared to the rest of the limbs. You could give it more form by using the cast shadow of the sword, like you did with the other leg.

You've made some impressive progress on this, by the way. It's always good to see someone take criticisms and stick with a piece for the sake of improvement.

I would've never thought to throw in place holder blocks to get the animations down. Kind of clever, but mostly just because I'm apparently retarded.

You've almost inspired me to make half an animation, decide it's not very good, then trash it.

Surprisingly easy to read what's happening in the mockups given it's 1 bit. I wonder if it'd get confusing in motion though.

September 19, I begin my drive to Burien, Washington. I will arrive approximately 10 days later. Then I will be forced to figure out what I want to do with my life, for the time being at least.

Oh my gawd. The ketchup bottle. It is my favorite. For always.

I love how nothing seems to look the same in respect to the design of the character and especially in their poses. You choose a lot of different subjects for your art, and you create them just as well as any of your other pieces. And I envy you for that D:

The mouth and jawline really bother me. I understand she's supposed to be smirking, but it just looks strange to me that her mouth is facing straight at the viewer and it perfectly level when the rest of her is facing a different direction and her head is tilted. I think the mouth could follow the direction of the rest of her face more.

And I can't really tell what's wrong with the jawline to me. Maybe it's too shallow of an angle or could merge to the ear a bit smoother, I don't know.

I wasn't saying he took the forums down intentionally for that reason or anything, Zach. I was just noting how the timing of it occurring was strange. His portfolio is down as well, so it's probably just the hosting server having maintenance done, being moved or what have you.

The fact that he seldom listens to critique doesn't render it invalid, and the fact that he hasn't improved much in the last few years....well, I hope that he is satisfied with his current skill level.
He's actually improved a lot with his watercolors and drawing in the past few months from what I've seen.

Ptoing: You talk like I can read!

And yes, Punaji is down. Which is sort of strange, beings David had just talked about how art boards are a hopeless waste of time :\
