heres the walking sprite (the standing one is the first frame)
THE IMAGE SPEED OF THE WALK WILL BE CONSIDERABLY SLOWED DOWN

i feel that the sword in the second frame is awkward



i also don't have an animation program. suggestions?

I really like whats goin on here. :D
3 things:
The bolts on the modified Lurch should be much larger, other than that it's really good
The lightest color on the monkey is very unnecessary, it could easily be replaced with the light pink, and changed to a darker blue to give the fur more depth.
The monkey's chest could have more perspective, and round off more. it kinda looks like a shirt decal :P

i resized the tiles to normal size
the color palette on the side is in 24 bit
[edit] the weird little curvy things are for smoothin out corners
here's the update:



im workin on character sprites. ill post soon
