The white, get rid of the white lol. It's causing too much noise, unless you're using it in the way PileDriver did. But just in big areas of white stand out too much for the colors you're using

Metal tends to have a lot of contrast and strong highlights, and reflection, and I'm guessing your robot is metal. Anyways, I was just playing around with colors to give you an idea.

The first yellow top left is more easier on the eyes to look at,. Pretty much yellow in general after looking at it for awhile kinda messes your sight up a bit aha. Also the orange squares still seem a bit more vibrant than what you were going for in your grey scale, like you said, do to your brightness, but I still they can use a little "cooling" because they are obviously the nosiest part of the work. Also I didn't even notice the white until you said so, so that should tell you something, the yellow doesn't have enough contrast from the white. I think you should make the yellow less vibrant a little bit more.

Edit:  Also the forum has a built in zoom function(left click on the image) and to zoom out you press control and left click the image again.

Yeah the yellow was bit a bit vibrant and the orange was also very vibrant as well, I pretty much dropped a bit of the contrast and added 44/255 blue to the yellow to "cool" it down I suppose, no pun intended aha. Everything else to me looks fine, but of course colors will look different on most screens according to the settings of the monitor, like I have my brightness pretty high.

I thought your piece could use a bit of contrast,  I probably went a bit overboard, and then for some reason graphicsgale added more colors to it when I used the tool.. I think it was because teh alpha background messed with it. But yeah, I don't know what it was about your light source, but it seemed weird so I jsut made it come from the top. Also I wouldn't use that white as a highlight because it makes your elephant have a "metallic" look to it.

Edit: Just noticed I messed the Trunk abit its too thin, oh well. And I left the hair 1 color because I'm not proficient enough with hair atm to give you any tips on it

Welcome, and this place is great for feedback. I'm not the best of artist myself, but IM sure in order to help someone, we'd have to know what we're looking at, and what you're trying to achieve. Right now all I see is a WIP game and some sprites. No light source anywhere, but that can just be the style you're doing the game in. But yeah, we need to know what we're looking at and what you're trying to do with these pieces in order to give you any real feedback.

Sorry for bad edit, I just didn't like the colors and I wanted to make the octopus look more rounded, instead of flat, which you can achieve by doing simple things with a shadow.

I also think this can benefit from some selective outlining as well.

I just edited this post instead of another reply because it was double post, anyways here's the latest, I tried to fix perspectives, but I still think the gun is not right still, it's frustrating lol. I tried to make a bone structure using yours as reference elk and did my outline around it hoping it would help me get the perspective correctly.

I just noticed you had created a topic about a golem, and it doesn't contain a finished result!

Regardless of your freedom to create whatever you want and whenever you want, I encorage you to finish the golem or whatever piece you had worked on before to prevent you from entering the typical very common bad habit we artists tend to get, WIP-sickness! Finish piece by piece, else you'll end up with 10000 WIP's in some years

Yeah I'll finish it eventually <---(First sign of WIP Sickness Lol) but I don't got the motivation right now for that piece of art because it was frustrating me, so I wanted to define my skills a bit more before attempting that. I want to make the piece good, and not another "meh" piece when I look at it. Anyways back to the dwarf, I'm gonna finish the outline and try to fix some anatomy but since this thing isn't really human? anatomy? I guess I'll have to shrink the anatomy of a human to proportion to fit the dwarf. And to the guy who talked about the gun, it was giving me a lot of trouble to get the proportion right on it, so I stuck with that until I can get it right =/
