I just wanted to point out something I noticed when I first saw this. The woman is looking away, and while that is dramatic, I think you would have more of a dramatic impact if she was looking at him, or they were both looking down, with foreheads touching or something, and in the distance was something awesome, something so awesome, that she would rather be close to her man, than look at it. and vice versa. Just a suggestion though, keep up the good work

Yeah, I reply both here and PJ, but honestly, this forum is where the action is at as far as getting good C&C in a timely fasion. Also, I think more folks here are familliar with arne's palette.

I chose that specific palette because I've always wanted a video gamey looking avatar of myself and I really think the palette is rad, the colors are just so NICCEEE!

Also, its a challenge to me, I love challenges and I feel like a pixel chemist, mixing color combos together to see what the effect is.

I wouldn't mind using another palette, or modifying this one for my needs but one of the things I'm trying not to do is go for realism and pure ramps. I look around at panda's stuff, ptoing, etc.. and they are all able to use solid colors, no dither, etc.. to achieve a nice effect, panda especially.

A lot of my stuff is messy, even all these WIPs are too messy for me.

I want it to be smooth with bold colors.

I'll keep messin, if anyone has some color suggestions, by all means.

Update: Fudged during lunch, incorporated the light red more to blend the face, lost the highlight on the forehead though because it just seems to bright.
