Since everyone was going with a square design, I tried it.

Not much detail, but a very :] smile.

Ah, I recently saw the movie myself, the Pale Man is the guy who eats the kids and the Faun is very awesome character design aswell.

From memory, the Faun had leaves and moss all over it showing it's age so I don't know if you would want to add some of that.

I think I see what you mean, but I guess I should add some more colours then to get it all in.

Coloured it in and such. Also added a small little creature pointing.

Thanks for the encouragement Alex, appreciate it!  :)

Now, I decided to make the body bigger as I sort of like the head shape.

But when making the torso, I found that one was too thin and the other just not right.
I take it the thin one could be made into my first female, the thicker to a male?

Yes, sadly after all my years of doing this I've finally decided to make a human, and I think that with the help of you guys, I can get it almost perfect!

This is my May project, hopefully I'll continue doing human features and bodies to improve.

At the moment it is quite rough, I've tried to take anatomy in case, but I always can see improvements.

Now, one of my major complaints to myself is that I should be doing bigger arts that aren't just scanned and traced over.

So, I wanna start off small, maybe make some walk cycles and such(never done any of those majorly) then work my way up.

To make it more anime, are you going to add that lighter shine that wobbles through the hair?

Also, maybe tweak the hair just a bit. Not sure on what, but I know it needs something.  :P

I tried, although the (our) right fin shading looks off, but I couldn't think of how to change it.

Okay, here I am watching the music clip for Silverchair "Straight Lines" (dont actually like the song, someone told me to watch it)

Now I have come to realise you guys like lots of information so here you go :P

Im trying to go for an anciet, dusty theme. So I was thinking of possibly brown or orangey theme.

The giant pink statue has a smile with a nose that stick out of it, with mony of those surrounding the building. The dark purple lines are inprints in the ground, maybe making those a darker colours or glowing even. The building is still intact and made of maybe marble(dont know what that is, something smooth then) It has a large square entry with doors inwards. I might use columns, but you can see the front of the building, and a bit of the side, so it is at an angle. Background can be dusty, with maybe sand being kicked up and in the corner just an arrow pointing to the structure.

As for shading techniques, I'm not really that good at dithering or AA, or even selout, so help if I keep getting it wrong would be appreciated.

I will be making a sold line art before anything else is started, so as I'm going, I would love some help.

Thanks in advance, Sax~
