I would suggest figuring out a way to give it a translucent look. You can probably find examples of that floating around the forums here. Otherwise, the new version is a definite improvement over the old one.

Here's another thing I've been working on. Basically just have the water to deal with at some point.

Let me know what you think.

Hey, so I was talking to Souly and he suggested I maybe take a stab at getting back into a project I've been working on extensively over the years, that I just haven't touched in quite some time. So I did, and managed to make another walk cycle for this character. However, I seem to have some glaring flaws with it, that I'm just not figuring out how to fix. I'm pretty new with the whole 8-frame animations, and I feel like the timings are off, which is throwing off the believability of the walk. So to those animation gurus here, please, help me out.

EDIT: NEW>

This was the first one I did, which I may slightly revise also, if there's anything you notice on it too:

Please help, these look so wrong, and I need to fix them!

I can say that the distortion in proportion is intentional, since that's how the lineart came, and I wanted to keep that really deformed feel.

Could you maybe point out what you mean by some detailed and some non-detailed parts? I'm just curious as to what you mean. You kinda made the point without actually giving me a good example of how to fix it, or where you're being drawn to/away from. Maybe a little more explanation there?

This is probably the first pixel piece I've sat down and pushed from start to finish without stopping in who knows how long.

Lines by David Stoner, colours by me.

Also, just a couple other little things that I've been farting around with.

The biggest discrepancy right now seems to be in the eyes. You've made yourself look far more oriental, which you are clearly not. Make the eyes rounder, with the widest-eyed spot being closer to the bridge of the nose and the iris/pupil area.

You also seem to have a slightly more rounded jawline, you've inverted that as well and made it more convex than it is.

It's otherwise a great start, I'd just address those little anatomical issues.

That tree looks like it has a massive tumor. I realize it's kind of a stylistic thing, but I think you went a little overboard on it there, since the rest of the roots don't really match up with the really big one. The new ground is looking good.

Why does that naked man have a vagina?  ???

I would side with ~KING~ on this, you're not paying very much attention to the edit provided. Be a little more bold and don't be afraid to drastically rework areas of this guy.

wow, these are all actually really amazing. I really like them, the animation is nice and fluid, they feel totally fleshed out and great. Good job all around on these man, for realz.
