I would love you forever if you would consider making a papercraft design. Your low-poly stuff would look so hot IRL.

i'd go for a more squared jaw. looks like a mantis creature with the jaw as it is.

Thanks for the reply. The hypothetical game here is a Flash game yes. Have you ever done a job where you were paid for tile, or in your opinion, what would you charge if you went with that approach over shared equity?
goodness, well my experience is limited to a few projects (im an animator not so much pixel artist so my situation might be a little different) but granted a simple but well-marketed game can bring in over $1k, I'm usually content with perhaps 20 dollars per reasonable unit of contribution, but I'm notorious for underselling myself.

so these are just test ones right? so I wont get yelled at if I participate? also am I right in assuming the duck one is digital painting opposed to just pixel-work? because id be all over that..

bawwww! it said i had the bottom middle one reserved so I made something really nice and I clicked upload and then I waited a bit and reloaded the page and somebody had already drawn something there!
NVM! yay!

if it were a flash game or something similar getting ad revenue I'd probably go with a percentage of the profits, otherwise probably a fair price per tile and perhaps a verbal contract to keep me in the loop if it turns into a huge success. :D

EDIT; also depends heavily on if I can work well with the project director.

I raised the mouth up a little because I was seeing a bit of chin-conflict there, but more importantly I thought the nose-shape needed tweaking. Unless you're going for this kind of situation http://nighthawknews.files.wordpress.com/2010/04/lon-chaney-phantom.jpg

These are soooooooooo adorable. I feel like if I wasn't making the incredible effort not to, I'd melt in my seat. And I love how customizable they are. Are you giving away any as Christmas gifts this year?

The purple jewel guy on your first post sorta looks like something out of the megaman legends game which is a huge plus for me. I feel so bad that I never noticed this thread till now
absolutely love megaman legends, and I think i will actually make a christmas-themed character for christmas

also UPDATE

made a new base that's at least 10 times easier to build!

These look awesome.

I've always had a passing interest in building papercraft models but i've never thought of making my own!
It'd be cool to design some armours/other equipment for this :)
plus designing extra stuff can be as easy as flat designs you just glue on, (as illustrated by the gundam head-crest on the robocass model)
