My suggestion would be to mock the idea and give this job to a real designer then. That is unless your friends group is serious. If they are not that serious then pixel art may be just fine...

A pixel art logo... Not the best idea IMO.

Logos need to be printer friendly.
A good tip I try to follow is make a black/white version. If it looks good b/w then color it. This ensures it will print well too.

Why is there a white border? It looks like you just took an image off of google and very poorly took out the white background.

You said you have a problem with the pallets and this is obviously the case with your eve sprites. Eve is not green. There is no hint of green at all on Eve except the the little green light.

If you looked at a reference image then you would find that Eve is all white with black border for her blue eyes. She has the green light and is very reflective. So the hard part is actually outlining Eve and making sure she is visible on a white background since she is all white and very reflective.

For you pelleting issues, I recommend using a solid reference image and just getting swatches here and there.

The shadow is awfully distracting, now it animated. Just keep it elliptical.
to fix this I would make the shadow lighter. Perhaps 10% opacity or something like that.

I like the firefly intro. Just need to clean it up a bit perhaps but I love the idea.

I think you need an alternative explosion for the flying things. The same one repeating over and over again gets kinda boring.

What do you think of when the flying things explode on the ground that they kill the rollie guys? Or hurts them a little at least.
