Pixel Art / [WIP]Forest Scene

I probably shouldn't have waited so long to request CnC but I began this scene two days ago and keep running into walls trying to figure my way around all the bits. I'm fairly satisfied with the boulders but that's about it. What do you guys think needs help (like the grass)?

I'd especially like pointers on trees and grass. Thanks.

I think the lack of pixel-by-pixel detail is what makes it so darn appealing. That's why Arne's stuff is so cool, it's got a sketchy simplistic style that doesn't show the pain of too much work.

Some CnC on this would be great, I'm sort of new to this anatomy dealy but I've done several pages of sketches on paper through the months. I know the feet are horrendous.

I saved it as JPEG...first time I've ever made such a mistake.

Oooh, those do look awesome. I will definitely have to try this someday. I could see something like that hex collaboration as something that would be very enjoyable to examine hanging on a wall.

Thanks for the GIMP filter idea AI, I'm going to try that now.

General Discussion / What does pixel art look like when printed?

This is a silly question that's been making me wonder for a few weeks and since I don't have a printer I don't have a way of knowing. I have searched for images but I honestly couldn't find anything. So I would just like to see what pixel art looks like when printed on a piece of A4 printing paper (preferably at a regular resolution).  :D

Ah, sweeeeet. Ui thanks a ton for my thoughtful and awesome robot. The color scheme is wonderful and I like the WIPs you added. I can't get the AVIs to work (likely my PC) but anyway thanks a ton. This will stay on my hard drive for looking back at.   :lol:
