Pixel Art / Re: The Yusbird likes it chunky! Update

Haha, oh man. Thats too snazzy for words. Not familiar with how the C64 coloring works (I'ma re-educate myself on that now), but that has no flaws as far as I can see.

General Discussion / Re: Post your oldest piece of pixel art.

Great topic, and I remember most, if not all of those pieces from great days of old (read, Pixelation).

My turn now. I'm sure these are my first sprites. First is mostly an edit, while the second was my first scratch attempt.

Ryumaru: We still need to do our battle, I think that was you at least. This is Kairi @ Pixeltendo. =P

Definitely a step up with this update. The new colors work, as well as the wrinkles along the bottom of her buttox. I'm also glad you didnt add colors to the hand. The 3 on it now work perfectly, and dont distract from the main character's body. Great work once again. You definitely took it up a notch with this one.

Helm: Dont like thick woman? =P

I think the problem I see is his leg/midsection placement. Your PF sprites legs are longer than Ken PF, while his midsection is longer. So it gives the allusion that one is taller than the other.

Your characters too tall. PF sprites are stumpy, and have larger hands, and feet. Less body, and more head, feet, and hands.

EDIT: Heres what I mean.

Most of them while standing straight up are the height of your squating. Now though I can see its the head being too large, and his body being a tad wide that is doing it.

Also, his hands need work on each side. Thats not how a fist looks from that angle. Ball your fist up in the mirror, and you can see what I mean. I can show you what I mean if you'd like.

The third one doesnt appear to be a desert at all guys. Looks like a rocky plane, with some vegatation. Definitely signs pointing in another direction.
