Please, could you provide further contact information of your company? Thanks.

15$ is a cheap price for a single frame, and that's just line-art, no colors.
Please, if you're going to pay 15$ per animation, no matter how simple, post it directly as "unpaid" and try to find a collaborator if you're lucky.

Hey there, I'm creating a game development studio called Floating Rock Games and I need a talented artist to draw up a logo for me. I'd need the logo to be fairly large maybe around 600x600 (or around that due to aspect ratio). I'd like for the words "FLOATING ROCK GAMES" to be in the logo as well as something else to help give it some flair. Being called Floating Rock Games, you can imagine that something along the likes of a "sacred floating rock" would be a good idea for the theme. I was thinking of having a bit of a pixel art style, though you're free to try whatever idea or style you'd like and I'll see if I like it.

If I like the work, we can agree on a price, though I don't feel I should be spending more than about $40 for this little project, so try to keep your work to that price range. I can pay via paypal. If interested send me an email or post a message! Thank you!

First - Designing a logo is not a "little project", it is how the rest of the world will see your studio. If you want a 40$ logo, you're asking for a pencil sketch on a piece of paper.
Second - "If I like the work, we can agree on a price" sounds like you expect people to spend time designing your logo and present it to you hoping to be the chosen ones. No, you see their portfolio, and if you like it, you hire the artist, usually -again for serious work agreements- paying 50% upfront and the rest upon completion.

I'm not saying that you have to pay 1.000.000$ for a logo (as Pepsi did) but do not undermine the importance of it, and do not take for granted the work of an artist, in this field if you pay peanuts you'll get monkeys.

Pixel Art / Re: Original Alien Warrior Sprite (C&C)
« on: December 15, 2010, 09:36:19 pm »

Hello.

I made a little edit with your alien and this is the things that i changed, im sure that other people can find other good ideas to improve it:

-  Proportions: the right arm is longer than the left if you extend it so i resized it.
- Shape: the foots has an odd shape that make the pose of the alien very little solid.
the hand that is grabbing the pole is a little confusing, i retouched to appears more natural with the thumb finger facing to the bottom.

I hope you find interesting this changes. See the picture and good luck with it.

Hello.

I think you can resize the first level of buildings and make them a little bigger. At this moment i do not appreciate the difference too much and i think this
can be a little exagerated. Test it and show us how it looks.

Anyway, i like the study you are making here. I like the character and i would like see it on movement.  ;D

See you.

Pixel Art / Re: Need help with walk cycle.

Hello . I just tried something and i think this way the animation can works.

Do not play the animation with two frames at a framerate bigger of 8fps approx.

Take a look and i hope you like it. If you have only two drawings to explain an action, study the action  and think about the two more important drawings
that the action needs to be explained. Think on a very brief synopsis of a film with two words.  :blind:

Please, make a good read of the post and you can show that the Zips was only two downloadable demos
and that the portfolio is an online website. Anyway thanks for the advice, but i would never do that you mentioned.

Pixel Art / Re: Please take a look at my grunty[WIP]
« on: December 06, 2009, 10:04:06 am »
Hello. If you have no restrictions in size, i would do it a little big so you can add more detail and be free to draw the shapes. My advice is not to draw very small sprites if you are at the beginning, only when you are experienced can reduce your art to minimal expression like this one. Anyway, the shadow for this sprite will only a 1 pixel line, i suppose. No much more i can say.
