The uniforms are a sort of drab olive-khaki. See here for a reference: http://www.replicaters.com/naziuniforms.html Look at the NSDAP uniform, which is the most recognizable and has the skirt.
The really distinctive thing about the uniform is the red armband; without that, the uniform is similar to other uniforms of the era.
Two other comments: Your guy is wearing short boots, but the Nazi boots came all the way up to the knee; he also seems to be wearing a gas mask and helmet. The gas mask I don't know much about, but the helmet would be black
Right now, with the monotone grey, he looks sort of like an Imperial Stormtrooper in the shadow.
(Also, hi, first post.)
Nazi uniforms are grey I do believe. May be wrong but I am pretty sure they are grey.
well yes it would tend to look banded wouldnt it?
being as how the one i edited wasnt the big one that TPoe is working on but one of the small ones that he posted in the first post, but blown up so u can see it. (as i said in the post)
I think the new bigger edit has even more banding. It might be a good idea to revise your shading knowledge.
TPoe, I really like the linearts btw, I think this piece has a bit of potential still left to use up.
and i think your "arty" preconceptions about banding are full of sh*t so we'll just have to disagree
