thanks for helping me, both of you. I see that youre right, the shadows are to weak. And thanks for the design on the lamb, its more clear that its a lamb now lol

I need some input on this design and its readability. Its the main character, for a short horror/dark game which takes place in a forest and She carries a lamb on her back.

(its many year since i did pixelart, but though i would give it a try again, also i dont remeber how to upload a pic so you can zoom in on it... )

I changed some proportions, like the arms closest to you need to be longer, elbows reach about to the bellybutton. And the hands and feet needs to be bigger (but i suck at pixel hands, so hopefully you or someone else can make them better) I made the face less round.
I can tell what pose you try to do, but i think either the upper body or the legs needs to be faced differently, because right now its to twisted to be possible.

I decided to try out another style, this is a top of a tree. Any thoughs ?
Personally, i feel like it could be worse, and it actually reads leafs, even if the style maybe is "cheap" or simple

I just redid the hair, i gave it shadow and a extra highlight. Im not good with this kind of style, but i do think it would be good to add shadow to the hair

Even if i, personally, dont like the background asset, it feels like its your style. one thing i noticed is that the trees and bush dosnt match to eachother. Like they are from different games/drawings. But otherwise, it looks fine. Its hard to give tips like low hanging fruit since i dont know the gameplay. But maybe som flowers would maybe be a nice tuch

Thank you so much for taking your time and edit it. I didnt even think about the hue shifting, looks much better. I still have a hard time with avoiding straight lines and how to think when i give it clumps/branches, but now i know how it should look, thanks
