thanks for the tips! I made the edit following your advice.

the colors for each element are going to be brown (earth) white/gray (air) green (grass) blue (water) red (fire) and black (dark)

the gray is for templates, and maybe help cards (aka spell cards)

Here's one of the many card done so far. Got Idea for monster off this pic http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/76919.htm

This card seems to have come out way too saturated :x how would you guys edit this?

Bump >_> what, you guys don't like me no more? lol

Last time I left I was a bit rude towards some of the members, I'd like to apologize for that ^.^ I've matured since then (I think).

SO! I've been wanting to make my own Online TCG after working for one under payment recently, with rules that take a bit out of all the famous TCGs like Pokemon, Yugioh and Eye of Judgement.

Atm I need help with the actual card template, theres gona be various elements and colors but I'm not completely satisfied with the actual card composition atm, maybe you guys could give me a few pointers? I don't want the card itself overloarded with detail since the monster style itself is rather simple... But yeah.

the thing bothering the most is the grid layout that shows the cards attack range, then maybe the sword & shield icons lol.

I got dragged into this dumb contest anyways, didn't even want to post my stuff here. The only helpful post was the one before the strike lol, which actually showed some contrast value differences - stuff I already knew btw.

kthxbye

I win. kthxbye.

I'm not doing a supergamma filtered paletted game with pinks and blues so bright they could burn through the hemisphere. No professional Pixel Artist will tell you that the base all the way on the right is even CONSIDERABLE, given all the anatomical incorrections it has.

edit: decided to do my own thing, don't bother with the topic anymore.

Yeah it's because they change him up in every Monster Hunter (there's like 6+ MH versions) lol

So much work for a piece I probably won't be using in the game xD since it's too big proportions wise. I will though, out of principle, finish this and correctly reshade as previously posted. The palette above looks perfect, even if you haven't played the game you got it right on the first try lol.

I haven't tackled a "big monster" pixel in a while, I forgot the steps as to what to detail first / last, this reminded me how to do things the right way though, thanks.

- Going to finish the Kut Ku -

@9_6 thanks but I think you deserve most of the credit here haha. You're right about the colors, I was unsure about the light source - but I think the left foot is fine as long as it hides behind the beak, no?

As Raven said Kut Ku is actually Pink xD I started with purple, and my gradients led me astray into an orangey doom. I'll change it up next.
